Clinician Profile

Eva Issawi, M.A.

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Languages: English · Arabic

Eva Issawi, M.A., is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (Honours) from Yorkville University. She completed her undergraduate studies with Honours at the University of Alberta, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies. These experiences contributed to her interest in human behaviour, culture, values, and the ways individuals make meaning of their experiences.

Eva works primarily with women, mothers, children, and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. She supports clients navigating parenting demands, changes in confidence, relationship stressors, and the challenges of balancing multiple responsibilities.

Her approach is collaborative, person-centred, and flexible, integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices. She believes therapy should be tailored to each individual while focusing on practical coping skills and meaningful progress.

As an active member of the Edmonton community, Eva has been involved in volunteering and community initiatives supporting children and families. She has also collaborated with a local elementary school in supporting conflict resolution initiatives and promoting positive peer relationships.

Eva is fluent in both English and Arabic and offers culturally responsive care that respects clients' values, beliefs, and lived experiences. She strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered.
